Rehab joystick

Description :

In conjunction with the National Institute of Astrophysics Optics and Electronics INAOE, we designed this interface for a computational system developed by them for the upper limb rehabilitation of people suffering a stroke.

The joystick has internal electronic components to detect the pressure over the handle to help patients start moving the fingers of their hands.

A colourful ball over the joystick helps to detect the movement of the hand via a camera connected to a computer running the program.

Several programs with different exercises and routines are offered to the patients.
